The rubber band used to close the notebook can only be threaded through after kiss-cutting the band slots. The parking disc can only be rotated once the elements are connected through eyelets. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PRINT POST-PROCESSING

WHAT IS MEANT BY POST-PRESS PROCESSING?

By post-press processing, we mean the processing using standardized tools. Typically, this gives the paper or print a special functionality. For example, two paper elements can be connected by eyelets in a way that allows the parts to move. In book covers, band slots can be punched through which an elastic band can be threaded to close a notebook.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED WHEN ROUNDING THE CORNERS OF BOOKS?

Especially beautiful results are achieved when using low-volume paper, and the books or book blocks are cut perfectly at right angles.

For hardcover books, the corners are usually punched at the book block before being bound into the book cover.

For softcover books, the book cover should not extend beyond the pages.

CAN BAND SLOTS ALSO BE PUNCHED ON THE FINISHED BOOK?

Punching is generally possible without issues. However, the threaded elastic band should be covered. For this purpose, a frog pocket, for example, is suitable.
